Previously, Pedro developed his career at major law firms, having over 12 years of experience in environmental law, mainly focused on climate change law and sustainability. Throughout his career, Pedro has assisted companies and associations in many different markets.
His experience includes assessment of environmental aspects in different forms of deals, such as mergers & acquisitions and capital market transactions, legal consultancy for negotiation and implementation of environmental recovery plans and in environmental licensing processes. Assessment on environmental class actions and extrajudicial litigation. Legal consultancy (environmental and contractual) in projects involving environmental and forestry assets, climate change, biodiversity protection and management of contaminated areas. Good knowledge on the Third Sector matters, mainly focused on corporate social responsibility and respective regulatory standards for non-profit organizations.
Winner of the José Bonifácio de Andrada e Silva Award, in the specialization category, at the International Congress on Environmental Law of the O Direito por um Planeta Verde Institute (2010).
